[community profile] moodthemeinayear is coming back in 2026 with a new twist: Creating a custom mood theme can now earn you Dreamwidth points!

Mood Theme in a Year is a community that takes a laid-back approach to creating a custom mood theme. If you've always wanted to create your own mood theme (those little images that pop up when you select something from the drop-down "Mood" menu when posting), this is a great place to do it! Take your time creating graphics for anywhere between 15 and 132 moods, either following the community's suggested schedule or going at your own pace. (Though you need to make a minimum of 18 graphics to earn any paid time.)

The "official" schedule starts again from the beginning on January 1st, but you can jump in at any time during the year; feel free to challenge yourself as well with Bingo cards or the Mood Theme in a Month calendars! Learn more in the community pinned post or profile.

I hope to see you there!

today i found out alola raichu has a cute costume in pokemon unite

i used a different lineart brush for this one, but when i finished it i disliked how the line width stayed more or less the same even tho the tip has a fun shape, so i had to go over aaaaall the drawing erasing part of the lines to give them some variation, it was very time-consuming lol

i finally catched up with digimon beatbreak after abandoning it after the 4th week (if i fall off one week, i end up forgetting the rest... it always happens, F) and wow i really was missing out peak
eps 7-10 were very great!!!

its solving the issue i had with ghost game: despite the episode's plot being cool, they insisted that every plot had to start and end in the same episode, which made the build-up interesting but then resolving the mystery in 2 seconds or in a stupid manner because they only have 4 minutes left of screentime.
but so far beatbreak is letting some of its plot span 2 eps, which makes it breathe and flow much better!

when i wanted to start drawing, it was 3:40pm
then, i looked up the clock again and it was 8:30pm
i cant believe i accidentally wasted 5 hours, a whole afternoon, scolling twitter.... uugh, please take that site away from me! the timers i had dont work anymore...

either way, my plan for today was to give my 100% into drawing aigis so i had something to comapre to in a month (as every time i start drawing a person i get demotivated, so all i got are unfinished stuff), but after the disaster i only had 1 hour to draw it, so it's very simple

a small practice is better than no pratice at all, but im angry at myself >.<
hopefully i will be more focused tomorrow, one of my troubles went away today.

Its aim is to provide bingo cards of gen-style prompts to be used as inspiration in creating fic, images, meta, fanmixes, vids or any other kind of fannish activities. Although the prompts themselves are "Gen" (i.e., no prompts are specifically about romance or sex) fills may be of any genre, style or rating.

Prompt lists are renewed at the start of December and April. New cards can be claimed then even if a previous card has not been completed.

too silly (?) to post, but i just did simple practices today
filled 2 papers with circles (done in a single stroke) and then started with loomis head, though rn im on understanding it phase
i have trouble drawing stuff like cubes and spheres in perspective (so i cant rotate the orb to make the guides and such) though, so i think i iwll have to work on that first before jumping onto construction
it's helping me understand the head bettter though..!! it has always been a complete mystery to me for years, but now i can kinda get it

Dreamwidth Points

Dreamwidth is running its December points event.

The standard explanation: For the entire month of December, all orders made in the Shop of points and paid time, either for you or as a gift for a friend, will have 10% of your completed cart total sent to you in points when you finish the transaction. For instance, if you buy an order of 12 months of paid time for $35 (350 points), you'll get 35 points when the order is complete, to use on a future purchase.

If you're gift-shopping for anyone on Dreamwidth, or you wish to support a favorite community here, points or paid time offer a great way to do that. Now is also a good time to buy them for yourself. Support the platform that keeps us connected here.

Hello, friends! It's about to be December again, and you know what that means: the fact I am posting this actually before December 1 means [staff profile] karzilla reminded me about the existence of linear time again. Wait, no -- well, yes, but also -- okay, look, let me back up and start again: it's almost December, and that means it's time for our annual December holiday points bonus.

Thank you, in short, for being the best possible users any social media site could possibly ever hope for. I'm probably in danger of crossing the Sappiness Line if I haven't already, but you all make everything worth it.

On behalf of Mark, Jen, Robby, and our team of awesome volunteers, and to each and every one of you, whether you've been with us on this wild ride since the beginning or just signed up last week, I'm wishing you all a very happy set of end-of-year holidays, whichever ones you celebrate, and hoping for all of you that your 2026 is full of kindness, determination, empathy, and a hell of a lot more luck than we've all had lately. Let's go.
